In an impoverished society where unemployment and hunger hold sway,  Amanano USA/Canada Indigenes Association came in to train and empower the people to be able to feed themselves and their families.
They established a centre to carry out these initiatives.
We started with teaching the men the skill of tile laying. We engaged professional tilers who taught them everything they needed to know about tiling. The program lasted for six months. While the program was on, the trainees were fed on a daily basis and at the end of every week a stipend was given to them as pocket money.
At the end of the six months, they were graduated and all the necessary working tools were provided for them. All these were for free and the trainees didn't pay a penny for anything. Now they can fend for their families and have a positive impact on the society.
Mr Amajioyi Esonwune was one of the trainees. This is him at work, full of gratitude to his sponsors.
